The MorE 4x4 aluminum fuel tank skid plate for the Volkswagen Amarok (suitable for all engine variants from model year 2009 to present, including the 2.0 TDI and 3.0 V6 TDI first-generation models) provides a high-strength protective shield for one of your pickup's most critical components: the fuel tank. Due to the long wheelbase of pickups and the flat geometry of the main tank, this area is particularly vulnerable during cresting, extreme articulation off-road, on construction sites, or when carelessly bottoming out on sharp rocks and hidden tree stumps. A localized impact off-road can easily deform or tear the original, thin-walled factory protection or the tank itself – a fatal loss of fuel far from civilization would be the consequence.
This vehicle-specific underbody protection has been precisely developed for the harsh conditions of long-distance travel, off-road tours, and heavy-duty use of the Amarok. Thanks to its independent design, this protector can be mounted completely independently, without the need for other underbody protection components.
