Renew the leaf-spring, shackle and Panhard-rod bushes on your Jeep Wrangler YJ and restore more controlled axle location. After many years, aged rubber can crack, move laterally or develop play around the mounting bolts.

This orange polyurethane kit uses 75 Shore A for the leaf-spring bushes and 90 Shore A for the Panhard-rod bushes.

More defined leaf-spring and axle location

Polyurethane retains its shape better than old, soft rubber under load and can reduce unwanted movement at the spring eyes and shackles. The final result also depends on the condition of the spring bolts, shackles, leaf springs, Panhard rods and chassis mounts.

• Frame-side leaf-spring mounts: 4 PU bushes and 4 metal sleeves
• Front and rear leaf-spring shackles: 8 PU bushes and 8 metal sleeves
• Front and rear Panhard rods: 4 PU bushes in 90 Shore A and 4 metal sleeves

Installation note

Inspect all spring bolts, shackles, spring eyes and chassis mounts for corrosion, scoring and deformation. Damaged metal components must be replaced separately. After fitting, check all fasteners and ensure the leaf springs can move freely throughout their working range.
