On the Mitsubishi Pajero II V20, the front control arms guide the wheels while the rear trailing arms and Panhard rod locate the rear axle under braking, drive and lateral loads. If the original rubber bushes soften or wear, additional movement can develop in the wheels, axle and anti-roll bars.
This blue Heavy Duty polyurethane kit with 85 Shore A renews the listed mounting points on the front and rear suspension. The axle-side bushes for the rear trailing arms are available in 60 or 65 mm.
Measure the relevant dimension of the existing axle-side bushes or rear trailing-arm mounts. The selected variant determines the 60 or 65 mm bushes supplied in the kit.
The firmer polyurethane deforms less than aged rubber under braking, drive and lateral loads. This can help the control arms, trailing arms and Panhard rod maintain wheel and axle position more precisely.
The firmer mounting can also transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body. Worn joints, bolts, mounting points or deformed arms must be replaced separately.
Inspect the control arms, trailing arms, Panhard rod, anti-roll bars, bolts and mounting points for corrosion, scoring or deformation. Suspension and axle-location work should be carried out professionally.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
