Prepare your Nissan Patrol Y60 or early Y61 2.8 TD for demanding off-road use, high payloads and sustained heavy loads by renewing the main axle-location bushes. Soft or worn original rubber can allow unwanted longitudinal and lateral movement of the solid axles.

This blue XL heavy-duty polyurethane kit with 85 Shore A covers the listed control-arm and Panhard-rod mounting points at both axles.

More stable axle location under high loads

The firmer PU deforms less than aged rubber under braking, drive and lateral forces. This can help the control arms locate the axles more precisely in the longitudinal direction while the Panhard rods limit lateral movement.

The firmer mounting can also transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body. Worn joints, bolts, mounts, wheel bearings or steering components must be repaired separately.

Installation note

Inspect all control arms, Panhard rods, bolts and mounting points for corrosion, elongated holes or deformation. Work on axle-location components should be carried out professionally.
