More stable axle location under high loads

The firmer PU deforms less than aged rubber under braking, drive and lateral forces. This can help the control arms guide the axles more precisely in the longitudinal direction while the Panhard rods limit lateral movement.

The firmer connection can also transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body. Worn joints, bolts, mounts, wheel bearings or steering components must be repaired separately.
