Renew a large proportion of the front- and rear-suspension bushes on your Jeep Cherokee XJ with one coordinated kit. When control-arm, leaf-spring, Panhard-rod or anti-roll-bar bushes are worn, play can accumulate across numerous mounting points and affect axle location.

Most bushes use orange 75 Shore A polyurethane, while the front Panhard-rod bushes are firmer at 90 Shore A.

Reduce accumulated suspension play

Polyurethane deforms less than aged rubber and can help the control arms, leaf springs and Panhard rod retain axle position more consistently. The final result also depends on the condition of the arms, shackles, ball joints, wheel bearings and mounting points.

Important control-arm note

At the designated control-arm positions, remove only the old rubber core. Retain the original outer metal shell in the control arm; it is required for installation of the PU bush.

Installation note

Inspect the control arms, shackles, ball joints, Panhard rod and mounts. After fitting, check every fastener and the suspension geometry professionally.
