More space for adventures, travel and everyday use: The Low-Profile Roof Rack for the Suzuki Jimny GJ from 2019 transforms the vehicle roof into a versatile transport platform measuring approximately 170 × 129 cm. A rooftop tent, awning, recovery boards, storage box, solar panel and other overlanding accessories can be mounted flexibly to the six aluminium crossbars.
Despite its generous usable area, the rack maintains a pleasantly low profile: measured from the rain gutter, it adds only approximately 160 mm in height. With the load distributed evenly, the sturdy aluminium construction is rated for up to 90 kg while driving and up to 300 kg when stationary.
Installation is carried out using six vehicle-specific brackets fitted directly to the Suzuki Jimny's rain gutters – with no drilling or welding required.
The Suzuki Jimny combines compact dimensions with excellent off-road capability, but interior space for extensive travel or camping equipment is limited. This vehicle-specific roof platform provides additional storage capacity without unnecessarily filling the cabin.
The low-profile design complements the Jimny's angular shape. With an overall height of approximately 160 mm from the rain gutter to the top edge of the rack, the platform sits comparatively close to the vehicle roof.
Six sturdy crossbars form a large, almost level load area. Their integrated mounting channels allow suitable brackets to be positioned flexibly, enabling the roof rack to be adapted to different travel, camping and off-road setups.
Depending on the brackets used, the roof platform is suitable for items including:
The crossbars are made from black-anodised aluminium. The side, front and rear components are also made from aluminium and finished with a black powder coating. This creates a robust yet comparatively lightweight construction with a total weight of approximately 20–21 kg.
With the load distributed evenly, the roof rack is rated for the following loads:
The static load capacity is particularly relevant when using a rooftop tent. It applies only while the vehicle is stationary and when the load is distributed evenly across the roof rack.
While driving, the roof-load limit approved by the vehicle manufacturer for the Suzuki Jimny must also be observed. The weight of the roof rack, installed brackets, accessories and transported load must be considered together. The vehicle's permissible roof load must not be exceeded.
The roof rack is attached to the Suzuki Jimny GJ's existing rain gutters using six vehicle-specific brackets. No drilling, welding or permanent modification of the vehicle is required.
The original roof antenna remains unobstructed. Check all bolted connections and mounting points after the first journey and at regular intervals thereafter, particularly after off-road driving or longer trips with a load on the roof.
The closed front panel provides a clean, uniform appearance without integrated front lighting.
This version has a cut-out and suitable brackets for a slim LED light bar. The light itself is not included with this version.
This version additionally includes the Hella Black Magic LED light bar explicitly specified in the variant selection.
Please observe all applicable legal requirements for installing, connecting and using additional vehicle lighting.
Rooftop tent, awning, storage boxes and any other accessories shown are not included.

With an evenly distributed load, the roof rack has a static load capacity of up to 300 kg and is therefore generally suitable for installing a compatible rooftop tent. The specifications provided by the vehicle, rooftop-tent and mounting-system manufacturers must also be observed.
The overall height is approximately 160 mm, measured from the rain gutter to the top edge of the roof rack.
With the load distributed evenly, the roof rack has a dynamic load capacity of up to 90 kg. However, the roof-load limit approved by the vehicle manufacturer for the Suzuki Jimny must not be exceeded while driving.
