On the Toyota Land Cruiser 70/73, the control arms and Panhard rods locate the solid axles under braking, drive and lateral forces. When the original rubber bushings become soft, cracked or worn, additional longitudinal and lateral axle movement can occur.

This orange 75 Shore A PU kit renews the listed mounting points on the front and rear axles. It uses standard concentric PU bushings and is intended for road use, travel and mixed off-road driving.

Measure before ordering

Measure the width of the existing frame-side bushings or control-arm mounts on the front and rear axles. The selected version determines the 35 or 40 mm mounting positions included in the kit.

More controlled axle location

Ageing rubber can deform more under braking, drive and lateral forces. Polyurethane is more dimensionally stable and can therefore reduce longitudinal movement at the control arms and lateral movement at the Panhard rods.

The actual effect also depends on the condition of the control arms, Panhard rods, bolts, mounting points, wheel bearings, steering components and shock absorbers.

Installation note

Inspect the control arms, Panhard rods, bolts and mounting points for corrosion, elongated holes or deformation. After installation, have axle position and suspension geometry checked professionally.
